Question about Tomoka's boyfriend (spoilers)

Tomoka's boyfriend dies without having been infected by the curse in any way. Tomoka had just finished filming the episode when the boyfriend enters her apartment... so that means she got infected that day during shooting... But she hasn't yet physically met her boyfriend since. How can he be infected?

Why does her boyfriend get killed like this?

I bought the thudding which occured before infection... I accept the sounds going backwards in time.

But is the curse itself supposed to work this way? It works backwards in time too?

So if anyone comes in contact with the house... then anyone that person contacted in their past can also get infected?

Collateral damage. If you're close to someone who's been inside the house the curse can affect you. Kyoko's husband nor any of the doctors in the delivery room had ever been inside the house but they all died anyway.
