Made for one of the streamers as a series. Find a good looking rogue as a young Ford and maybe even have the old man do some arch during the series.

shareThey sort of did that with Chronicles. Indy was a cranky one-eyed 91 year old man relating the stories of his youth. Harrison Ford even did a bookend cameo for one episode.
It wasn't terrible. It couldn't feature the big action pieces of the movies due to its budget. And Indy improbably kept meeting every major historical figure of the early and mid-20th century so that it seemed more like an after school history special at times.
Sean Patrick Flanery was okay in the lead role. His version was a bit too wide-eyed innocent. There was no trace of the sarcasm and "making it up as I go along" attitude as Ford's version or even River Phoenix' version.
The series was (sadly) fairly terrible. I also read all of the books, and while they were better than the series, they needed a lot of editing.
