Plot hole

Indiana drank from the Holy Grail in 'The Last Crusade'.

This should mean his aging process would be CONSIDERABLY slower than regular people's.

Therefore, we should have seen him look, sound and act pretty much the same as in previous movies.

However, Indiana has AGED to an old man!

What? Did the Holy Grail not have an effect on Indiana??

Don't tell us something, and then ignore your own story that mandates certain things to be a certain way, if you're not going to respect your own story's parameters!

Indy should've been as young as he was in the other movies, at least for all intents and purposes. He should NOT have been an old man - HE DRANK FROM THE HOLY GRAIL!

Well, according to the Grail Knight in The Last Crusade, immortality would require remaining within the Great Seal of the Temple.

^^ That ^^

All your assumptions are wrong.

Drinking from the Grail doesn't have any lasting effect once you cross the great seal. Sure, if Henry or Indy had an undisclosed medical condition that might have caused premature death, it would have been cured by the Grail and they would still have had that benefit once they crossed the seal.

If you want to achieve immortality in this Raiders canon, you simply have to drink from the Grail and stay behind the seal - "the price of immortality" as the knight explained it.

"Sure, if Henry or Indy had an undisclosed medical condition, it would have been cured by the Grail and you would still have that benefit once you left."
That, and being SHOT.

I know you're probably just having fun here... in that same spirit then we already knew that Indy doesn't achieve immortality. If you watched The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones you know that we saw an old Indy looking every bit of his 93 years.

Interesting IMDB trivia that connects the TV series to KOTC:

"During production of the series, Lucas became obsessed with crystal skulls. He originally called for an episode which would have involved Indy and Belloq searching for one of the skulls. The episode was never produced, and the idea ultimately evolved into the fourth feature film."

Kind of think they’re not just having fun, but either way….yes you needed to keep drinking from the Grail. Not everyone takes one sip and is good to go on prolonged aging. The Grail Knight tells Indy the price of immortality is staying behind the seal with the grail so you can either drink from it or possibly you will age if you move beyond the Great Seal as has been said by someone here.
