6.2 for this movie ???!!! What the hell !? This movie was very good, it's not the first 3 movies, but come on, it's good. And even the critics liked the movie. It had some bad things in it, but it had far more good things.
shareToo much action and not enough of the story development, comedy and charm of the previous Indiana Jones movies. Originally, I saw it at the theater and couldn't get into the inter-dimensional aliens. They still have a flying saucer. What's so bad about traveling between dimensions anyway? Does your body disintegrate? There's no development of that story. The crystal skull doesn't fit with the Crystal Skull artifact at the British Museum, but the 13 Crystal Skulls legend. I think those are very small crystal skulls. Neither depict aliens, so not much cohesiveness there. Also, I did intramural fencing in high school and didn't like how they put Jones Jr. dueling between two cars. Obviously, you don't want to have him get hit in the nuts so there's comedy but it's really about injuring your opponent with jabs until you can finish him off. It was just another action gimmick, so the movie could go from one action sequence to another. After a while the gimmicks wear off. The great thing about the movie is Harrison Ford who was still agile enough to climb those crates, pyramids, stairs, etc., and re-create a lot of the Indiana Jones action like the whip, fighting, jumping moving cars, quick thinking and getting into and out of dangerous situations. The supporting characters aren't as memorable except for Karen Allen's role. She did a fantastic job. Shia LaBouef was good, too. However, do you remember Cate Blanchett's role? Or Ox's? Or Mac? Or The big Russian? Why did Irina go from wanting the power of mind control to knowledge? Why was Mac so greedy and desperate for money to betray his friend? What was Ox's reward? How did all the ancient artifacts museums would want get there? The Crystal Skull artifact is valuable if genuine. Were the aliens really archaeologists or were they thieves? I couldn't really tell if the aliens were threatening or the reason for being in the movie was another gimmick. So while Indiana Jones' foes and MacGuffin are different, it ends up as another over-the-top action picture with little story.
shareNah. Anything with Shia LeBitch is a terrible movie. He's an awful actor who tries too hard, which is the opposite of what you need to be a good actor.
Movie goers know, but Hollywood tried to force him anyway. Then he plagiarized an entire movie, and should have been blacklisted for it, but he won't quit so all he does is try to become a meme to stay relevant. Which idiots eat up. He should really be in prison or dead. He's done terrible things.
