Is It Worth My Time?

Okay -- I have seen the previews...I have read about the movie but yet I am still a bit...well not convinced it is worth my time. I am personally terrified of clowns so it will get one point for that however is it a horrifically bad film? A waste of two hours or a good way to waste two hours?

I noticed that in the preview...that it looked like someone took a camcorder and made a cheap movie, then submitted it to the studio. I was only interested/am only interested in it because of the clown. They just terrify the crap out of me...however I am thinking I shall wait until this comes out on TV.

Thanks!

Melissa

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster.

You dont even see the clown until the very end, and than its a major let down. It's a painted face. Much like the ones that you would see on a five year old walking the streets on Halloween. Dont get me wrong, I love low-budget (real low-budget. like in the thousands, not the millions) but this wasnt that good.

As a poster mentioned above, the lighting was terrible. There was no atmosphere at all. They did not do anything with the sets, lights, audio, etc.

Best,
Randy

And awaaaaaaaay we go! (No,I'm not brainless... that was a line from the movie, honest!) I just saw this movie with my best friend. (He was a film student at one time.) And we had a GRAND time! I would have to say that this movie is definately worth the time to view it because it is so bad it is hard to believe. We found ourselves grabbing the remote and rewinding just to hear every bit of inane dialog. To say the acting is flat is like saying the surface of the sun is "warm". The actors use of obscenities are so poorly delivered they don't even shock.
The earlier person said the mask is painted on... and indeed you see the clown "paint" his clown face on... but every time you see the clown he's wearing a rubber mask. Here's an interesting observation: One of the characters flees from the clown at one point. He's running and running... the clown walks after him but the runner never really gets any distance on the clown. (Movies have done this since the time of the serials so I can forgive that part.) Here's the interesting part... the clown is wearing a rubber mask. The director keeps showing a P.O.V. shot with a mask over the camera chasing the guy. The mask gave the clown ZERO visibility. He could see nothing at the sides and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on the ground. He was chasing the man through a woods... a thick woods with lots and lots and LOTS of underbrush. I really wanted to see the victim jump over a log and then turn around and watch the clown trip.
The writing is horrible. The stupidity of the characters goes beyond my ability to explain. There is a scene where two characters meet late at night. There is tension between them... they don't like each other. They hear a noise (Another character being killed by the clown) they say "What is that?" "I don't know, let's investigate." ... and then start having sex. They aren't even killed before the completion of this act as in a proper horror movie. It's just random and strange and bizarre and very very painful to watch. The earlier comment abot the video quality is true. The movie goes back and forth from film to video. This is what gives it its amaturish "soap opera" feel.
So, if you enjoy bad movies there is a LOT to enjoy here. Although there isn't much to scare you unless you are truly afraid of clowns. There are some creepy clown scenes too... Coulrophobic people will have some squirm moments. Otherwise don't expect too much... unless you have a fear of really... REALLY bad acting. (Reference to the trailer of this turkey... those who have seen it will think that last line really... REALLY funny)

oh, come on, your time isnt that valuable. This is good for a few laughs. I thought it was pretty good for a Z-horror movie. The writing is so horrible though, my self confidence as a screenwriter went off the charts while listening to the stupid stuff the characters said and did.

Yeah true. That whole scene in which Brandon is inviting the one woman he works with (see I don't even remember the names) to spend the weekend with him is priceless. The way he nonchalantly slips on his "cool shades" while he's giving her the runaround made me crack up.

Come on. this is a great flick. You have good story and hot girls that show some breasts. That alone is worth a hour and half of anyones times. I laughed and I cried from laughing. Fully enjoyable film.

Yeah well the boob factor didn't really impress me considering I don't go for chicks but it is a good movie to watch if you want a good laugh. I laughed quite a bit. Just not my pick of a movie to watch for some quality horror. Just quality cheese.

I have to agree other than the fact that I don't like chicks with nips that stick out an inch from their bodies. I love B-horror films, but this movie was crap.

This turd is SO worth your time. Seeing a movie this bad enables you to truly appreciate the good ones.
The guys who made it previousely produced commercials for the Houston Aeros hockey team. The obvious next step was low-budget horror. I've met both the writer and the director. I was asked to write a script for them. They just told me, "Make sure you kill someone off by the end of the first act and we want boobs around the half-way point." The writer, Hebert, thought his own script for SICK was solid gold. He thought someone simply saying "s***" was hillarious. They wanted a finnished script from me in two weeks. I chuckled and didn't return any of their phone calls.
By the way, there is ONE scary moment in SICK. When the door slams at the end I actually jumped. By then I'd been lulled by how stupid and un-scary this movie (I'm reluctant to call it that) is that a sudden loud noise is all it took

worst movie ever; not even laughable; pain-stakingly bad; acting is horrible; plot is horrible; directing is horrible; i hope the writer/director made this as a comedy (although it didn't even pass as such); and i pray they never write/direct again; they should change their names if they ever decide to do anything in the movie business again; i can't say it enough: the movie sucked;
