I can't believe that they are actually making a movie about Dracula set in the future. That is absurd. Can't they just leave it alone and have it one of the best stories that has ever been created. I guess there is not much you can do though eh? Hopefully it will turn out to be ok.
I know exactly what you mean. I am a big fan of horror/thriller movies, but ws the first one (Dracula 2000) so good that they needed to make a sequel? Everytime they make a Dracula-like movie it destorys the originals. Why don't you crazy vampire fans go watch a classic like Nosferatu, then see if you still like these lame kiddy flicks.
shareI agree, I've just seen dracula 2000 (about 5 min. ago) and it was even worse than I expected. and the thing I hate most is that they keep on bending the "rules" like in some movies vampires only have to where sunglasses to walk in the sunlight and that kind of crap. who the hell comes up whith this stuff :S
Another thing why do bad movies (like this one) always get a sequel why the good ones never do..

sharelast night i watched Dracula II: Ascension and it is a sequel to Dracula 2000. It begins with Dracula hanging from the cross hanging off of the building. And they just finished with Dracula III: Legacy. It will be coming out in August.

I don't know how three will end but maybe it will answer our question to why they are making into the future. These two Dracula's were made by Wes Craven.
Dracula II is playing on Showtime this month. Watched it last night. Hope this helped.
Please be aware, Dracula 3000 is in no way a sequel to Dracula 2000
Dracula 3000 is a seperate film.
Personally I have seen almost all the major Dracula films (see DVD list in profile) and I thought Dracula 2000 was good - because it did have some good mythology behind it - and the Van Helsing character was good. Not sure about Dracula 3000, but I would like to see it.
R-T-CI love Dracula, Lugosi of course, not that new chap.
D. 3K is probably just as big a sequel to 2k as Alien versus Predator is to predator (1&2) or the alien saga: just some resembling characters (maybe this VanHelsing talks about the events of that happend to good 'ol grandpa (abraham)) and that would be it.
