Well, my IQ is said to be 142. I don't consider it a "good" film, film-making wise, but I lived in A'dam and despite the raunchyness, it is one of the films that better captured Amsterdam's feel (I'm no stoner, by the way, nor do any drugs). It's the kind of "bad film you can't help loving". Not only it's nice for me, to rewatch it as it brings memories of the streets of Amsterdam, but also some of the jokes - specially the first sequence - are actually quite good. The film itself is a spoof of several reference, most notably Brian de Palma's "Dressed to Kill", and dares to cast a superb actor - Jeroen Krabbe - in one of the main roles. This is a bit like enjoying a burger in some fast food franchise... it hurts if it is the only thing you do, but from time to time, it could be refreshing to check it out.
Do I recommend the film? Only if I know the person quite good, beforehand... but I can hardly say anyone enjoying this film is "stupid". Schneider is not a good comedian, but in this film, I find him quite acceptable most of the time.
