Charlie's toothpaste cap factory

I loved that Charlie's dad brought home the cap rejects so Charlie could expand his factory model however I never could quite figure out why when Willie opens the cabinet and sees the model that he has no reaction? Unless something is cut out, I'm not certain what I am expecting but always thought there should be something or why would he open it?
