Ratner's First Bomb

It's kind of ironic that Ratner was talking in the DVD extras about how he has never had a box office bomb. I think it's a fun, fluffy movie, but it was also a flop.

your basically right, it flopped, but i personally think it's quite good as it's a nice simple FUN heist type film. one of Brosnan's better films in general. this film along with 'The Thomas Crown Affair' and 'The Matador' i think are Brosnan's best films (especially if your not counting the Bond films)

it cost 60mil to make and 'worldwide' it took in about 61mil... so depending on how much they spent on advertisement they might have lost money but with 'DVD Sales' it might have turned a small profit but i can't say for sure since i don't know how all of that works.

but in USA it only did about a little over 28million in sales.

but it simple terms it was definitely a flop especially when you factor in it's production budget.

Never even heard of it until yesterday... someone left this movie in the laundry room of a hotel... it was there all week, so I took it to my room to view it... it was ok.
