as far as action these days, i LOVED this movie. alot better than all of Steven Seagal's DTV efforts combined. at today's standards, this is the equivalent of action to freakin' Dirty Harry, but with MUCH more bodies. if you remove the car chase, this is a DTV king.

Its getting quite impressive reviews aswell at amazon, so I've just added it to my list. I was surprised at how good In Hell was, so ought to check out this one.
Its good to see him playing more serious roles, in more serious films.

Certainly not his best film ever - nothing, NOTHING will ever beat Street Fighter - but still a very good one.
I was pleasantly surprised after viewing this, as most of Van Damme's recent outings have been total trash.

Are u serious? street fighter was crap. this is probs his best film. this film is a millions times better than street. the script for street fighter is just crap. with wake of death the story is going somewhere.

But I have to agree that this is JCVD's best DTV release in a long time - he really does have some acting chops if the right director is at the helm.
shareI hate to say this but we are getting to the stage where the B-Action films are better than most of the A-Action flicks. Probably because the B-Movie try knew things but usually keep it old school. Plus they really have no mass marked BS to worry about.

I disagree there RockitRetro, Bloodsport is his best flim in the past decade or so. Second In Command wasn't too bad, ok yeah it did lack action and the story line wasn't very good. I agree with the part when you said "Hard Corps was just laughable and Derailed just got it completely wrong", his recent flims are *beep* crap. You called your self a Van Damme fan and you criticize his flims.
