Who else thinks the opening theme song could have been better, compared with most other animes, it's pretty dire. I reckon the closing theme, played during the end credits should have been used at the beginning. Some kind of good, sorrowful song should have been used at least. I just think it's a shame that the opening tune fails to get me psyched up and in the mood for the following brilliance that is Wolf's Rain.
hell yeah. I fell in love with 'Heaven's not enough' when it played in episode 25, to when the nobles were at Jagura's celebration. The sounds set up the mood for visions that appeared on screen, without appearing cheesy. For some reason, for me that part of episode 25 was also so melancholy and powerful that it sent shivers down my spine and made me tear up. (but maybe thats just me)
I liked Stray. It really summed up Kiba's character, and it made the anime come to life for me. I love songs like that, (along with Bryan Adams, Spirit Soundtrack) where it just all of a sudden screams (I mean the all of a sudden loud STRAY part at the beginning), or speaks to your soul.
Although I can really only listen to the part that's in the opening credits, I can't actually listen to the rest of the song .. well not as passionately as the beginning.
But I know how you feel, my friend who recently gave this for me to watch shuddered when I told her I loved it. Then again, she doesn't like Bryan Adams either, so I guess it might just be for us girls - and hte odd guys - that like husky voices... ^_^
But it's not the best anime song. Fullmetal Alchemist's soundtrack, and opening song is by far better. But this is still good in a different way.
Harry looked up at him and saw a tear trickling down Dumbledore's face into his long silver beard
The Best anime opening is, by far, White Destiny by Ishida Youko from Pretear [I find the anime to be the same level, maybe even better, than Wolf's Rain]. The Pretear ending song is also really cute!

It's not my favorite opening, but the more I heard it, it grew on me. Although....it did scare me when he started singing sometimes, lol. I just wasn't expecting it....
I'm amused that people always tell me I'm an eighties girl and that I absolutely love Stray.
Nya. I can see why people'd think it's annoying, but I kind of enjoy hat little brst of energy before slipping off into the slower moods again. It fits, but it clashes ith the rest, in my opinion.
The end of the last episode is just like the opening to every other ep-the same song and everything. They all just walk past eachother and Kiba is running and still driven toward his goal. We've been given the most important clue to the ending of the series from the very beginning (all the way back from the opening of the first episode!) and we didn't even notice. I liked how it was all played out. I thought it really tied up loose ends.

I dunno, I think "Stray" is awesome. It pulls at my heartstrings, especially the way the line 'No regrets 'cause I got nothin to lose' is sung. It's not your typical slow and dramatic opening song and it definately gets me into the mood for Wolf's Rain.
Yeah, the first time I heard it I hated it a lot. The second time I hated it a little. It always scared me when it suddenly started after a prologue ("STRAYEEEAY! STRAYEEAYEEAYEEAAAAY!") X-D But then I listened to the whole thing by itself and now I love it, haha. I'm glad they didn't go with a slower song like "Heaven's Not Enough" or "Gravity" for the opening; "Stray" kind of revs one up for the show...
Sure beats the rest f the crap I hear on most other anime shows...I mean take neon geneis Evangelion, undoubteldy one of the greatest anime series ever made but I honestly could barely sit through the opening theme. And to be honest first time I heard 'Stray' I laughed, second time I scoffed, third time I kinda liked it...and it's grown and grown on me, now I love it^^ It'll be a shame when i finish Wolf's Rain...though i'm making it last as long as i can, and of course i'll watch it again, just the first time is often the best - you dont know whats coming.
