The next best thing...

For the 2005-2006 TV season, "Tarzan" producers Laura Ziskin (Spider-Man, Pretty Woman, Ghosts of Mars), David Nutter (Disturbing Behavior, 2004's "Darksiders". TV's "Smallville", "Without a Trace", "Roswell" & "The West Wing"), P.K. Simmonds (TV's "Party of Five"), Leonard Dick (TV's "Relic Hunter", "The Oblongs", "Fastlane" & "Hack") & Molly Newman (TV's "Frasier", "7th Heaven", "Snoops", "Sisters", "Tracey Takes on...", "Murphy Brown" & "The Larry Sanders Show") will work together to produce a TV series entitled "Alice", a dark twist of "Alice in Wonderland" & loosely-based on the best-selling videogame of the same name (written & directed by videogame level tester American McGee [Quake, Doom]) . The series will be created by TV writer K. Doucette (TV's "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command", "Spin City", "The Practice", "The Bonnie Hunt Show", "Newhart", "Townies", "The A-Team" & "ER"), American McGee (in his non-videogame debut), producer Laura Ziskin & producer-director-actress/comedian Betty Thomas (I Spy: The Movie, Dr. Dolittle, Charlie's Angels, The Brady Bunch Movie, Private Parts, Surviving Christmas, 28 Days & TV's "Doogie Howser, M.D.").

The series will star actress-comedian Anna Faris (Scary Movie 1-3, Lost in Translation, The Hot Chick, May, Lover's Lane, & TV's "Deception: A Mother's Secret" & an episode of TV's "King of the Hill" [voice]) as Alice, Jessica Biel (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Rules of Attraction, I'll Be Home for Christmas, Summer Catch, 2004's "Cellular" & "Blade: Trinity", 2005's "Stealth" & TV's "7th Heaven") as Alice's sister Tracy, Bobby Cannavale (The Guru, The Station Agent, The Bone Collector, 2004's "Shall we Dance?", TV's "24", "Ally McBeal" & "Third Watch") as Mary's boyfriend Bill, 15-year old creator K. Doucette as Alice's boyfriend Robby, Jeffrey Tambor as the madhatter, Camryn Manheim (Scary Movie 3, TV's "The 10th Kingdom", "Ally McBeal" & "The Practice") as the Queen of Hearts & voice legend Jim Cummings as the voice of the Chesire Cat and in his live-action acting debut as a mean police officer.

That sounds great, I love Anna Faris! But where did you get that info from? I know a film is in the works for the game, according to American McGee's web site.. but I haven't heard about a TV show.
