What happened to it?

I still cannot figure out what happened and why this show was axed. I freaking loved this show! Travis was the best Tarzan.

It's ratings weren't up to par. I truly believe the main reason was because after the first episode, WB stopped promoting it. "One Tree Hill," which premiered around the same time, got lots of promos/commercials, but "Tarzan" got little or none. I used to watch the WB regularly back then and was really ticked off about it, because I loved Tarzan. When fans found out it was in danger of cancellation, they wrote/emailed/sent bananas to the WB, but to no avail. Production was halted, the last few episodes aired, and we got an official cancellation notice in late December 2003.
