So stinkin' cute. I love Max's shifty eyes when he knows he's about to get away with something. I love how Ruby tries to teach Max everything she learned in school. This reminds me of my brother and I playing all day long in the summertime. I would put my kids in front of Ruby and Max any day. I drew a picture of Max for a little boy I take care of and he smiled so big when he saw it. He knew exactly who it was. =)

As for the "where are the parents?" questions, they surprised me. Obviously Ruby enjoys bossing max around, and Max doesn't seem to mind it either, because if he gets annoyed enough, he just gets even. And in the end they love each other anyways and are clearly at peace and comfortable with the world, like happy children. The focus of the show is on Ruby and Max's relationship when they play together, not on their relationship with their parents. I figured any adult could figure that out. People are ridiculous.

Completely agree with you! I enjoy watching this show with my kids, as well as reading the books to them.

Ruby is terrible to that kid. And it would be one thing if they just played, fine. She FEEDS HIM. She CLOTHES HIM. (Literally she buys his clothes and dresses him). She BATHES HIM. She PUTS HIM TO BED. So not sure how that is a relationship 2 children should have. If you find this show normal. YOU are ridiculous. Its amusing because it is so stupid, but it is not normal.
