reply

yeah i they did infact it was my first reviews on the run ever tommy didnt like it so much and victor loved it

reply

Pretty much, yep. Tommy's main problem with it was the music. Makes sense, given that he's a professional game composer.

reply

What did they rate it?

reply

Well?

reply

HOW THE **** CAN YOU NOT LIKE MELEE?

no really it's like my favorite game.

i find that i agree more with victor

"I heard alcohol makes you stupid"
"No I'm... doesn't..."

reply

Finally someone responded. I take it Victor liked and Tommy hated it. I love SSBM so I'd agree with Victor too.

reply

SSBM is close to my favorite game ever. it's got all the classic nintendo characters in a fighting game that ISN'T A BUTTON MASHER and you can ACTUALLY MOVE AROUND and GET ITEMS

this brings me to my fury with sony and the game industry. don't get me wrong, i still love video games, but sony is so dumb.
look at it technically- the gamecube is smaller, and has ALL better hardware, AND sony insists on only having to controller slots! but the PS2 costs more!

the only reason the PS2 is selling so well is because some idiot game companies decide that they want to put games out on the PS

look at all gamecube's awesome games: excluding RE:4, are all made by nintendo (metroidprime 2, pikmin 2, paper mario 2, SSMB, mario sunshine, the zelda games, etc) and SONY doesn't make any games.

and now the PSP and DS are dueling, and the DS is so much better! i don't care if people say dual screens and touch sensetivity are stupid, you have to admit that they are serious gaming innovations and will bring new games (just for an example, a doctor surgery game is coming out--that's cool)
NOT TO MENTION THAT NINTENDO BEATS SONY IN PRICE AGAIN

well i better not get rambling about how SONY IS A MONEY WHORE COMPANY and nintendo is KEEPING IT REAL

HOOAH NINTENDO

You can't say the DS is better because I'm guessing you haven't tried the PSP since it's not released until March 24th and the only way to get it now is from Japan. The dual screen and touch sensitivity is innovative is nice, but I find it doesn't work with all games. I'm not a huge fan of hand-held gaming because I would just rather be home. The PSP offers a larger screen, better graphics, an analog stick, an amazing quality DVD player, and the ability to listen to music. It also looks a lot cooler. Of course it costs more. I don't own a PS2. I do own a Gamecube and XBox. I also don't like SONY, but when they have a superior product, you have to admit it. I love Nintnedo, but the majority of their games are for a younger audience. I would like to see a new Mario 64 type game for their new console. As we all know, the new Zelda is on the way.

Plus, I know that you're an Nintendo fanboy, but you said that "and the DS is so much better!" and tried to justify that by saying "a doctor surgery game is coming out--that's cool". Not as cool as Metal Gear AC!D or Viewtiful Joe. 2 games that are being released for the PSP. Nintendo is also being reported as having another hand-held being released later this year.

ok, yeah, you're right in the respects that i have not played it, but let me just say that the psp does not have a dvd player, it can play UMD discs that cost the same as a dvd but dont have special features and cannot be played on a dvd player. therefore, you'd have to spend $40 to be able to watch your movie on the road and at home. i have a portable dvd player with over twice the screen and battery life for that.
weighing out the strengths and weaknesses for both, i think they are about even. i might even get a psp if i have that much money to drain, but probably not because i would want to make it a portable, and it has an unrespectably short battery life. still, i have to admit it looks really cool.

i suppose i am talking out of anger that nintendo is going so far downhill, with the gamecube not being as big of a success that it should have been, and the ps2 being a much bigger success than it should have been (speaking from a hardware standpoint)

i just hope the nintendo revolution will work well

o and they're making a mario 128, but it will probably get pushed back to the next-gen console, effectively making it super marioo 256

You are correct in saying that it plays UMDs, but DVDs can easily be ripped to the PSP memory stick and viewed. Just to say, I don't plan on buying a PSP, or DS, because I hate handheld gaming.

I also am upset that the PS2 did as well as it did. It isn't that powerful and I dislike the controller. My favorite console is the Xbox, followed by the Gamecube.

I did read about Super Mario 128 and am very excited to see a full sequel to the amazing Super Mario 64.

I'm probably going to go insane waiting for E3. I've been reading nothing but rumors for the XBox 360, Nintendo Revolutions and PS3.

"Everything they do is so dramatic and flamboyant. It just makes me want to set myself on fire."

reply

the ps3 and xbox 360 are just updated versions of the old systems. i can't wait for the revolution. i hope nintendo doesn't screw it up, but i'm pretty open to innovation.

nintendo's lack of 3rd party games comes from its innovation. the gamecube didn't have much innovation, however, so i don't know what was the deal with the lack of 3rd party support

the ds's innovation makes it really hard for game developers to make multi-patform releases including the ds without making the ds version a completly different game.

Wrong. They both disliked it. Victor gave it a 4.0 while Tommy gave it a 3.5, due to audio and graphics.
