Poor comedy?

I was just wondering what kind of catagory this show would fall into?ive only seen maybe four episodes cause its on ridculously late on tv here in ireland!just wondering if it is meant to be funny in a ha ha way or is it funny in an hyperbolic and satirical nature with reference to the perfect family...for me it doesnt seem to be either with the comedy lacking for both catagories.i would obviously hope that it is a satire in the south park style yet it just seems so tacky and fake...which does however represent american families in some respects!
