OK.. apart from the good looking casts, this movie is pretty darn appalling. I watched it to the end to see just how bad it gets. Even Korean dramas are much better than this and they're pretty bad. This movie was so corny I wet myself.
Funniest moment: When the main guy is performing at an audition and one of the judges offers him a cold drink of... Coca Cola...
the movie wasn't so bad-afterall it was rated 6.5, but i soppuse that this is ur opinion...i personally loved the movie and i think it would be pretty big if someone did it in english and it was shown in the movies and everything..
yeah lol..i thought it was a bit weird with the coke part too!

sharei thought the funniest part was the girl reciting the poem in polish. but i suppose you have to speak polish to get what i'm saying. as a person who speaks polish, i burst out laughing during that scene, for nothing of what she said actually sounded like polish. if i wasn't told that was supposed to be in polish, i wouldn't have even guessed. yes, i understand that polish isn't close to their native language, however, i think that if you're going to attempt to include it in the story line, make it somewhat authentic/understandable/believable. other than that, the movie was pretty okay!

Maybe it's dealing with people everyday who are quite certain they know everything and have invented everything already...that would probably be why I get annoyed by things like "Oh, maybe you just don't understand our culture."
Just so you know, I equally dislike cultural chauvinists anywhere, not matter where they come from.
They got a white guy speaking perfect mandarin (assuming I'm right and that it's not dubbed) so I think they could've trained the actor to speak Polish a little more fluently...
shareNo, the guy actually is speaking it, and decently, too. But Mandarin is quite different than English, and to do that takes a long, long, time...it took me months to learn the tones well enough to stop thinking about them.
Probably, the time and effort required to do it well enough to seem fluent wasn't worth it for the few scenes it occurred in. I figure Polish isn't any closer to Mandarin than English is. :D
