any new news on the sequel??

Any new news on the sequel? all i know is Angela Bettis HAS to be in it!

The chance of getting a sequel any time soon doesn't look good from what I can see. It's too bad, because I really loved the film, and would have liked a sequel from the same production team, featuring the "surviving" actors. Audience reaction to this didn't seem so hot overall, which would amount to the financials on what was already a "budget-strained" project not suggesting much utility of a sequel for investors and producers. Although obviously at one point the idea of a sequel was batted around--or there wouldn't be an entry for it on IMDb, as there is.

Unfortunately, it seems like maybe a sizable portion of the audience didn't quite know how to contextualize the film. A lot of comments here evidence this. Many seem to be overlooking core aspects of the film--the "supernatural" stuff, the more surreal, dreamlike feel where the idea isn't to forward formal logic problems, etc., and that seems to have resulted in a lot of dissatisfaction.

A sequel would be great as long as Angela Bettis returns.

I do like Angela Bettis but she was kind of annoying in this. I liked the atmosphere and all the different characters. They should have done a sequel in a new building with a bunch of zany characters.
