The real essence of this movie is Mela Ram!

I've re-seen the movie many times and I'm thinking the real essence of the movie is/was Mela Ram. SRK was in some sort of denial upto that point. When Mela Ram pointed out the 'giving light to neighbor's house' remark, it was a kind of rude awakening for SRK. Almost to the point that he was ashamed he couldn't see the real meaning, something that even a simpleton like Mela Ram could...
