Where can I find this movie?!?!?!
I watched it a long long time ago, and was remainded about this movie so many times, but never ever managed to trace it!
Where can I buy it, download it? If someone know where, plese do tell!
Oh my God! I've been trying to find this movie for years!!!!! I vaguely remembered that maybe Dustin Diamond was in it and I thought I'd check. Someone should really make another movie based on the same idea, it could be really interesting.

I found the name of this movie after looking for yeeeears!!!! Saw it when I was about 7, and it has remained in my head since. I almost thought I'd imagined it, never found a trace of it until now! (Thanks "Need to know" forum! :)
I also want to find this movie in any way possible, anybody had any luck?
It sounds like the new Justin Timberlake/Amanda Seyfried/Olivia Wilde movie out next year is going to be a remake of this. At the very least it's using a VERY similar storyline (although I don't remember a lot from this movie since i haven't seen it in about 20 years.) :) Hopefully the new one ends up being good, so it can kind of make up for not finding the original.
shareI too saw this movie as a kid, and spent years trying to find more info about it. I posted on boards, asked random people...but got nowhere. Finally, I entered just the right search terms and found the title of the movie. Then I found out why it was so hard to track down. Nobody saw it! This movie that had such a profound impact on me as a 7 year old kid is some short film from Showtime that nobody cares about.
I gave up for a while, but eventually continued my quest to find a copy of the movie. To my utter dismay, I read somehwere that no DVD was ever made of the film. Then, I stumble across a review someone wrote here:

It was so detailed, I knew the person had to have seen the movie recently. There is no way someone could remember that much detail from 1987. So I emailed the author of the review, and EUREKA!!! He sends me a link of where I can get the DVD!

I immediately go to order it, and get a little worried when I see it is a UK disc since I am in the States. Then I notice it's "Region Free"....YES! Score! So I add it to my cart, enter payment info, then get a message "this DVD can not be sent to the US". Something about copyright laws. ARRRRRGGH! Am I forever destined to NEVER see this movie AGAIN? I try again with a used disc, and it works. I got the movie! I don't even care that I paid the same price for a used DVD as they were charging for a new one! It's mine! My quest has ended!
Anyway...I'm so excited and just wanted to share my story with someone. I uploaded a copy of the video for anyone who's interested. You may want to watch it soon, since it may be taken down due to copyright infringement. Anyway, I am about the watch it myself for the first time since 1987! I hope it's as good as I remember!

First I read half of your post and went straight to amazon, then also ran into problems with country shipping (and I'm in Europe...), couldn't ship to countries around me eather (yes I was ready to go that far just to get it), then finished reading it all and saw you posted it on vimeo, I almost fainted :]
Thank you so so much! And don't worry about copyright, company that made this movie went bankrupt in the 90s (that's why is such a hard find).
