Looking for Pippi movies without the cheesy dubbing

I find the English dubbing for these movies to be bery annoying, especially the first movie. I still can't figure out if these movies were originally filmed in Swedish or in German. I would love to purchase them in their original languages, and hear Inger's, Par's, and Maria's actual voices. I've watched these movies so many times, I already know what they are saying anyway! However, these movies are available primarily in PAL format. The DVD's that are available in the United States do not have a Swedish or German audio option on them.Does anyone know how I can get these movies on VHS or on DVD, in their original audio format?

Sry I dono where to find them. But I believe the original language was Swedish.

www.discshop.se. A swedish site, you can ask me if you want translation. I'm from Sweden, so I grew up with the show.

If you look at the actors' lip movements, you'll find that the film was made both in Swedish and in German. the German actors spoke German and the Swedish actors spoke Swedish. They were dubbed later, so I guess the "original" version would be a mixture of German and Swedish...

It's only 3 persons that are German and dubbed to Swedish. It's a Swedish story 'cause Astrid Lindgren was Swedish and the books are original Swedish

Well, Mio min Mio is based on Astrids book with the same name, but it's in English. I know, I own the dubbed version where everybody speaks Swedish:(
I hate dubbed movies, it's so annoying, but of cause in Sweden we don't dub movies. (Exepts are the Grinch, Harry Potter, Spy Kids and animated movies, but it's quite easy to find them with orginal language.)

I have, actually, never noticed that they'd dubbed Mio min Mio into Swedish. I have always taken it for granted that they talk Swedish. I noticed it about a year ago maybe

The Original Language is Swedish.

i do agree the dubbing can be annoying but having to read all the dialog would annoy me too, and would make me miss a lotta the action and magic and such

i think the voice of anika is the most annoying, she sounds like a new york long island princess or something, "cawwwwwww"

I have to admit that the dubbing distracts me, I'm too busy watching the actors mouths to see when the words match up, usually when they are saying names, to actually pay attention to the movie. It's a personal problem.

I live in Finland and I own a few Pippi videos. I still love to watch them, even though I'm already 14...

I'm 23 and I still love to watch Pipi, I own the old version dubbed in Dutch, it's the only version I know and I guess it would be rather strange to hear a Swedish version now, the Dutch dub is cheesy too but for me it's part of the nostalgia.
I love the part where she goes to the doctor and tells him she has a makebelieve illness, how she crashes the tea party of Tommy and Annika's mother and when her father and the sailors have a sausage eating competition at the farewell party in her house. Brilliant stuff!
