You're 100% wrong. How sad is that. None of the reviews are anything to do with me. But you're entitled to your opinion of my movie. Some people love it, some hate it... that's the way it is. I'm interested though... are you in the US?

reply

Take no notice of his comments, I loved the film :-)

I bet he is from the US! :-p

Believe TGI... have faith.
Gina was cool. She's extremely professional and brought a lot to the role and had done a lot of homework, coming with a lot of pre-set ideas about the history and life of the character. She works well with strong actors and crew and doesn't suffer fools gladly - but I think that's an attribute rather than a drawback.
Hers was the tightest of all schedules, she was only with us for around two weeks so I didn't get chance to hang out as much as I'd have liked but we did once or twice and I thoroughly enjoyed her company.
It was Bound that i loved her in most and there's some elements of that movie in this, though they're very different.

She sure is a wonderful actress, and cant wait to view the movie, ive always wondered if the directors, and producers etc, checked the forums on imdb and other movie sites alike, and it's a pleasant suprise to find somebody who does, i will be sure to write my review about this movie, and thanks for taking the time to tell me about Gina. So is there any more projects in the works for you?

reply

You're welcome, it's great to hear from an audience. Sometimes it's positive, sometimes it's negative, sometimes there's just a general intrigue. I'm spending a lot of time here in the UK shooting commercials or TV Spots as they're known in the US. I have a couple of projects I'm developing/writing but so busy that it's kind of taken a back seat.
Hope you enjoy the movie.

Yeah, just a shame the negatives always seem to catch the eye before the positives, i also noticed your first bigger title was with Les Battersby of Corrie! what an ecentric character he must of been to work with? he's been the main figure on corrie for years now! i will keep an eye out on your future projects & hopefully more titles like this catch my eyes from you. Very good of you to take the time to speak to audiences. well done. Just watched the Promotion Material for the Movie, and it's excellent, right up my alley, cant wait to watch it tonight!

Yes that's right. Bruce... strange, I didn't have you down as being UK based... apologies for that. What promotional material are you refering to? I wasn't aware there was anything with Out of Season. Maybe you're talking about Bob's Weekend?
Anyway... happy viewing. Or, in the case of Out of Season... uncomfortable viewing.

Miss Gershon is vastly underrated, it must be the flipside of having the blessing of her looks ;-) She's been impressive in everything I've seen her do.

Also - funny nobody has mentioned it - lots of cred to all the Rumanian crew involved in the film, the great Edward G. must be smiling in his Heaven :)

Gina was cool.
Brought a lot to the movie. As did the Romanian crew. Great work, great people.

I agree. This movie was great except that Gina Gershon's character wasn't in it enough

Hi QAkashaX
That's interesting. I wrote Eileen as the only truly evil character in the piece... I think Gina really brought a reason for her situation to the role and I wish I'd had more scenes with her in. So, I guess I agree.

Wait a second... you're Jevon O'neil? Director and Writer of Out of Season?

WOW! That's hot.

I was like scanning through the posts and didn't even realize yours.

Seriously though. I thought the movie was really good. I bought it originally because I knew Gina was in it but when I watched it, I thought this movie is amazing. But I was still a bit sad about Gina not being in it enough.

How was like working with Gina?

Hi again
Glad you enjoyed the movie. Thanks for that. Yeah, believe it or not, writer directors are normal people who like to flick through IMDB like everyone else!! Weird but true.
Gina was very cool - a model professional. She was with us for only two weeks of the schedule wheras Dennis and the others were there most of the time. When she arrived she really shook things up and made sure the others had to be on their game.
I love the scenes she does with Simeon (David Murray), especially the key scene where she plots Michael's death and they swap information/questions for cash.
Also the burglary scene where she gradually realises something is going very wrong!
She brought a lot to the role and gave (I think) Eileen more of a back story than I'd given her in my own mind. I think that shows on screen.
Off screen she's cool too. We didn't get to socialise much as your time as a director doesn't allow much partying during the shoot - but when we did get to have a drink on a couple of occasions she struck me as a really fun lady who was also a serious and successful business woman.

Wow that's great. Yes I agree on those scenes. She was brilliant in the time she was in your movie. She Really brought Eileen to life in a strong way. Great job.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Once it finished I thought to myself, "Wow, I REALLY liked that movie!" Usually I just go "Meh ... another piece of crap" - I'm fussy when it comes to my movies!!! Yeah, great work Jev. Great location, lighting, cinematography, acting and well-cast. Look forward to seeing more of your work!

why is David Murray not acting more? I would find him a perfect character for God's Army type films - which, though not cinematographic highlights, are o.k. for me for fun watching - or a Clint Eastwood or Sergio Leone black western, or .... ;-))

underrated, I would say, and grossly so.

I'm not sure why Dave hasn't caught on more. I think he's a rare talent. I'm sure he'll break soon.

I found this film a real chore to watch, despite the presence of Dennis Hopper and Gina Gershon.. It's a pretty standard-issue crime thriller with few surprises and a lot of filler. Highlights: the amusement park footage. Lowlights: everything else. 4/10 from me.

reply

Yeah this movie is lame.
