I loved this movie!

It takes a lot to make a feel-good movie original. I thought this was a great screenplay and great direction. I noticed so much more the second time around too. The actor who plays Damian is very convincing...I didn't feel like he was acting (and it's rare to get a child actor who can act without looking like s/he overacting, or trying to act).

Great great fun film!

If you loved this movie, I would recommend the book of the same name by Frank Cottrell Boyce. It is an absolute hoot, as is his more recent book Framed. I read the book first and the film didn't quite live up to my expectations, although I did enjoy it a lot. Interestingly, if you read his bio on IMDB, it seems he wrote the screenplay first, and only later did he develop it into a novel. Quite a feat in my opinion!

I think it is an absolute shame that the DVD is discontinued. I know of a bunch of great movies have become discontinued. At least it's on iTunes.
