it's just a matter of time

Nice replies to my original Seattle '77 post. However, I still feel that since there's a complete Zep concert out there on video that it should be given the Page treatment and released for us to enjoy. Plus, he already has full Earl's Court and Knebworth concerts in the vault (no matter what he says), which would be a great two or four disc compilation set. Not to mention, why was a complete version of Heartbreaker from Song Remains the Same not included.. and since Celebration Day was on the original sound track, how come the footage was never released?

Anyway, I can't help but think that he's frankensteining with all that footage and that the Zeppelin DVD was just a small taste of what's to come. And since there'll never be a Led Zeppelin reunion, its just a matter of time that these DVDs will come rolling out. It's a business at the end of the day and I'm sure Page and Co. want to make sure that the Zeppelin brand remains profitable.

I dont think they will release much more but i really hope they do. I really want to see a live performance of Heartbreaker. Being only 19 years old, one the greatest regrets in my life is not being able to see Zep live. I would have even suffered Disco and the whole of the 80's to see them in the 70's

But they are really picky over what they release, and wont do it unless its good quality images and audio, and the performance is to their satisfaction, hence not giving the rights to be put on the Live Aid DVD. I managed to get that footage of Live Aid last year and although its not a good performance, it still had all the energy and charisma and the crowd loved it, and in the spirit of things should have been on the DVD.

I'm sorry, but it shouldn't have. It is a subpar performance, and it is NOT LED ZEPPELIN! It's Robert Plant, Jimmy Page w/a guitar that he didn't have time to tune, and Phil Collins!

I must agree with Gallows on this one. I was 18 years old at the time and had never had the chance to see Zep live. I saw U2 on TV that afternoon at Wembley and it sent shivers down my spine when they played Bad, and Bono dragged that girl out of the audience. Then Queen came along and just took it to another level !!!! This just built my expectation up so much. U2,very good. Queen, brilliant, but Led Zep would blow them away, or so I thought. I think it was about half past midnight BST when they came on in Philly and I was glued to my TV in the Midlands of England. Alas I was so disappointed with everything about that performance. Phil Collins looked out of place and really should not have been there. Page, who used to have a classic guitar set up of Marshall/Orange amps , Gibson Les Paul, and Dunlop Wah Wah decided to go all "Eighties" with some Chorus and Flanger guitar effects !! Plus I think he was off his head on H. To say I was dissappointed was an understatement. I bet Jonesy sat in his farmhouse pissing himself laughing, whilst Bonzo was turning in his grave!
But I forgive them, and i took some serious ribbing from the new romantics who I went to school with!!

I doubt it, he was on stage with them, playing his bass.

You are so right Ady 71, my mistake! It should have been "I bet Jonesy stood on stage and wished he was at his farmhouse pissing himself laughing"
