John Bonham: Version 1; Version 2

Relating to the DVD, on the 1970 Live at the Royal Hall performance, John Bonham is just freakin' great. I loved the John Bonham that you see in that performance. Always rockin' his head and slamming on the drums as hard as he can. It seems like just 2 years later he became a hippy or just more laid back. He slapped on the head band, grew the long hair but lost his intensity on stage which really disapointed me. It's not like it's an age different here but do you guys feel the same way?

the whole band is like that, the reason being, in early gigs like the one in 1970, led zeppelin were still proving themselves, and in later concerts they didnt need to prove anything because they were the greatest band in the world.
