Keira Knightly's Face in this movie

Agreed. I love Keira Knightley, I think she's astonishingly beautiful but I just couldn't like her in this movie.

Did you notice how her mouth was practically open the entire time she was on screen? She never once closed it. Say what you want about her trying to pull the distracted-troubled-angsty teenage look, I just found it annoying.

Really? Wow, I actually thought she looked amazing in this. Very dark and sultry but I guess it's just me.

Well, she is supposed to be a waitress in a horrible place, an chain smoking alcoholic who can't stand holidays because her mom died, etc. She is supposed to look worn. She barely has any food in her fridge. But in a sort of Hollywood way, because that woman is always pretty. Throw her in a garbage can and she'd still be pretty.

At the end of the film she is a lot cleaner, she isn't smoking, she is smiling more...to show what is called a character turn. Dead mom, sad alcoholic girl. Alive mom, happy robust girl. So that is why she looks sour and swollen...you try a diet of cigarettes and booze and see how good you feel. :P

She looks the same as always just not as thin. Her role was less glamorous than normal. But this was part of the character. I like her deep voice in this.

I thought it was an interesting movie.. I do love Adrian Brody, I think he is a brilliant actor. Kiera Knightly kinda bugged me though. i love and hate her.. I like her because you can tell she's an intelligent and beautiful woman and she can act. But I've just never really liked her films too much. But she really rubbed me wrong in this movie.. at first anyway. I just couldnt see her as the depressed alcoholic type. and I agree with some posters who said their love seemed a lil forced.. like when he comes back and he's in her car and she's was surprised. she offers him a coffee 'you want this?' 'No, I want this!' he grabs her face and kisses her.. but it seemed so forced.. especially after only one time of them having sex and even the sex scene came out of left field. all in all i liked the movie..it just needed some tweaking here and there.. but i thought overall it was good. i couldnt really imagine any other actor playing his part..

I was going to write in about this same thing, but saw you had already done it. I think Keira always acts with her mouth and jutting jaw and have never liked her for that reason-- she annoys me very much, and I can barely look at her onscreen. I'm glad others feel the same way.
