Disagree. It was alot of fun, not overdone at all, I wholly enjoyed it. And I have't enjoyed very many movies this year at all.

I'm a friend of Rolfe's and I must say he works hard to make these films, even if some people don't like them.

I don't think it was stupid, per se. In order for a movie to be stupid, in my humble opinion, it has to try to take itself too seriously. "The Hazing" was obviously made to be campy and follow in Sam Raimi's footsteps from the Evil Dead trilogy. I noticed Bruce Campbell's name and face a few times throughout the film. It's plain as day that this was definitely made for a tribute to the Raimi-esque style of film making. Anyone that is inspired by a master can't be all that bad. ;)

I just finished watching this flick and I loved it! It's definitely going for that campy feel - lots of influence from The Evil Dead and Night of the Demons...I wholeheartedly recommend this for anyone who wants a cool campy horror flick for a night...

I just watched it and as far as most recent horror movies are concerned this is one of the better I have seen, the acting was fairly mediocore but it wasn't horrible and the gore was actually very well done, especially the decapitations...overall it is definately worth the rental but I wouldnt recomend a blind buy, it's just a good campy horror flick but I don't think it will warant many repeat viewings.

I have to agree, The Hazing was quite enjoyable for what it was, a horror/comedy in the style of the Night of the Demons series, The Evil Dead, and The Convent. It's better than The Convent, but it doesn't quite have as many good cheap scares or the fantastic atmosphere and setting of the first of the Night of the Demons or as many good laughs and special effects as the second one, but it's a good mixture that's fast and entertaining.

The cast was actually pretty good, I really liked Parry Shen, Nectar Rose, and Tiffany Sheppis. Great characterizations the movie certainly does not have, but it does go an extra step further than usual in making certain characters likeable. Rose and Sheppis also looked great in the nude.

As for the flaws, the movie's opening scene was pretty weak, the movie does take a tad longer to get going than usual, the humor really isn't funny so much as it is at best mildly amusing, I think I could have done without the huge lightshow in the climax, and a larger body count would also have been preferable.

The two leads were great, but I agree the movie wasn't all that funny or horrifying. Then again, I'm not a fan of the Evil Dead movies either, so 
