'Happy Feet' is similar to 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull'

Has anyone else noticed how the story is directly similar to the film 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull"? Both films have the same theme of being cast out of a group because of a unusual talent? I think the producers out to pay Richard Bach some big money.....
