Which G is your favorite?

Which Godzilla is your favorite? There are so far three.

Showa Series
Heisei Series
Shinsei Series (Millenium)

My favorite is the Heisei. Godzilla was the most powerful in this version. 2nd would be Shinsei. Last would be Showa. In the showa series he was a goof ball.Showa version got shot in the buttucks damn it! One time I really thought he was the Cookie Monster.

My favorite has to be the Heisei series, mostly because of the Godzilla design, but the showa series is great also. With me, it's more of the individual movies that I rate. For instance, I thought Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah was considerably better than Godzilla vs. Hedorah, but no where near as good and Invasion of Astro-monster (monster 0). The Shinsei series is great too, if a little uneven.

I always like the way the Shinsei Godzilla looked. Of course, I might be one out of a few who thought the costumes in those movies were the best looking. He looked meaner and at the same time, kind of cute in an adorable way.

I like the Millenium the best. Not only did the costumes look cooler, but it had the best movies ever. I don't know why people like the Heisi better. The one who started this series of message boards, said that Heisi was more powerful. Obviously, he hasn't seen GMK. And another reason that Heisi was more powerful than maybe, G2K, was that he was larger. I like the big G smaller for numerous reasons. 1, he is more interactable with people. Most would say, who cares, he'll kill them anyway, so it don't matter, right? 2, it makes Godzilla feel more powerful. Although, he is smaller, he does the same amount of havoc and destruction. Except for Meltdown G, he was just out of control. And the list goes on. I hope I inspired any of you with details. One thing I realized. Hardly anyone likes G2K. At first, it was in my top, but now, it's #2, next to GMK. If anyone, who's reading this, lives in the USA, and owns G2K on DVD, watch the whole darn thing with the "Audio Commentary". It gives you a better appreciation for the movie, and you'll discover, the editors for the US version, did a pretty freaking good job with the film.

GMK does a better job at bringing back the costume for Godzilla 1954. He's fatter (sad to say), the dorsal fins are close to the same, and his evil terror that he shows in the film reminds me of the havoc run amoc in Godzilla 1954. The hospital scene in GMK reminded me of Godzilla 1954.

As far as
Showa, Heisei , Shinesei I would say Heisei is the best design overall ( from Ghidrah '91)
as far as personal favorites

my list would be
Gojira '54
Gojira '64
Gojira '91
GMK Gojira
even though final wars is going to end the seires for sometime...
i think it would be awesome to see a mix of all these something like
Gmk Goji's Dorsal fins and white out eyes on Gojira '64, with the original roar, and the roar from Goji '91 with the Milllenium goji's ray charge up and release.
the cookie monster look mirahoque is reffering to must be gojira from Gvs the sea monster,

Well, I know this is an old thread, but I want to give my two cents. I prefer Heisei and Millennium. I like the more lizard looking design and the wicked looking spines in the Millennium series. Heisei looks pretty sinister, too, though. I really like Burning Godzilla. That, to me, is the best designed suit of that series.

I don't really like the cat-looking face on some of the suits in Heisei, but it's way more preferable to the Cookie Monster look.

So for me, the closer to lizard that the design gets, the better. They just tend to do that more in late Heisei and all of Millennium than the Showa era. You add that to his fierce look.

I enjoy the "Classic" Godzilla years or the "Showa" years. The first 15 films. I have to say that I think the Heisei films (1984-1995) are better than the last 6 Millenium series. Godzilla vs. Destoroyah in my opinion is a classic and it ROCKS!

The Godzilla series should be retired. 28 films is a great legacy. Godzilla has nothing left to prove. Godzilla is a pop culture LEGEND.
