Man, I loved this movie. I thought it was as good as or better than million dollar baby. Why doesn't it get ANY credit at all? There are less than 100 votes.
Was it poorly advertised, or was there something in the movie that horribly sucked that I somehow missed or overlooked? Someone fill my in -- why isn't this movie better recognized?
Many factors:
Unfortunately, it was released months after Million Dollar Baby. People probably thought it was another Million Dollar Baby.
It had limited release, but so did Million Dollar Baby. Unlike MDB, it did not have the name power to garner attention and it did not have big studio backing to hype it up.
I just finished watching it, and thought it was very good. J.P. Davis has a future, that's for sure. It is just too bad that the timing for Fighting Tommy Riley was on the heels of Million Dollar Baby.
