So, uh, where can I find it?

It's only about 7 and a half minutes long, a short film... soooo.. it should be somewhere. Um. Wh..ere?

reply

It's very haqrd to find, maybe through some festival or togheter some movie for the cinema.

reply

wait, where did you find out that it was seven and a half minutes long? Does anyone know if this movie is out yet or still to come?

...yes, but you're forgetting one thing: I'm Captain Jack Sparrow.

reply

I'm going by the IMDb runtime, of 8 mins, so perhaps it's really 7½ mins long, but...WHY?...that's silly, that's too short, for...anything. I don't think IMDb should list this short of a movie (*cough*if you can call it a movie*cough*) or at least list is separately from the real movies. What did they bother making it for? WHERE did they intend to put it? A long commercial? A long preview during a different movie? A really-short made for tv movie? Or do they think we'll pay a normal movie price for 8 mins of joy? I like Alexis Bledel & she's the only reason I know about this movie, but IMDb should list non-serious movies separately (on the name page, now that I'm here I see it's in genere "Short" {too put it mildly}, but they need a separate "Short Films" list on the name page or some indication it's not a real movie).

reply

Yes, and George Lucas and Stephen Spielburg shouldn't have been allowed to make short films. That way they wouldn't have inundated film history for the last "few" years. And we certainly don't want any new blood in the film arena. I mean, Ecks vs Sever was as close to perfection as one could get.

reply

Amidst my horrible day, this made me laugh. Thank you. :) My sentiments exactly!! Whatever happened to convention? The rebels have concocted mutiny to amuse us.

Wait, what does sarcastic mean? This perhaps reeked of it a bit too much, but I still found it amusing.

reply

Um, Im guessiny you were kidding there.

"That still only counts as one"

Are you for real?

It's screening at Sundance 2004 right now.

reply

I just saw it last week at the great Sonoma Epicuria film festival
(which is kind of a best-of-Sundance with wine and parties)
it was one of the best shorts I saw ("Tacklebox" was pretty good too).

Check out their web site: www.dysenchanted.com, there is
a "screenings" tab in there that lists all upcoming screenings.

reply

it' only 7 and 1 half minutes?

guess that means it probably won't be released on DVD and i'm in australia..chances of me seeing it are probably very small. i thought it was a acutual feature film! (and i love alexis bledal- gilmore girls is my favourite show)

How much do u think she got paid? lol...she's an acutal star, so just wondering!

reply

This film has a website-www.dysenchanted.com-and they list festivals where it will be screened. Including the Sidney Film Festival.

reply

thanks for that. and by the way, (and the web-site got it wrong, so it's not ur fault! :D), but 'Sidney" is actually spelt "Sydney" lol. that's pretty bad hey!

reply

I saw it at the Waterfront film festival in Saugatuck, MI. It's cute but definitely not a full movie. It was good for a short though, and I like it when well known actors are in short films (i.e. Jim Belushi, Alexis Bliedel. It's showing at film festivals around the country though.

reply

To "I love Gilmore Girls"

Yeah... and "acutual" is spelled actual and "spelt" is spelled spelled and "bledal" is spelled Bledel.

reply

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=2&q=spelt

So, I suppose what we have here is someone who made an obvious mistype, didn't bother to memorize the spelling of a private name and you making a mistake about an acceptable spelling.

Anything else?

Check yourself before demeaning other people's spelling. It makes you look silly if you're wrong.

go to dysenchanted.com and email the director. i met her, and shes very sweet.

darn it! i missed the one in rochester,ny by a few days. I hate when that happens.

Somebody's got to lead this revolution and I guess it's gonna be me.

reply

Oh hey, sorry if my comment was misunderstood- I definately WAS NOT criticising someone else's spelling. (obviously I am not the world's greatest speller! :D)

What I meant was, the WEBSITE had miss-spelt "Sydney"-spelling it as "Sidney"-not the poster!

Hope I didn't offend anyone. :D And yes, I should have proof-read my post. I usually do. My bad. Hope this is ok!

Thanks :)

It's currently touring with LUNAFEST; see http://www.lunabar.com/lunafest/ for cities on the tour. There are several other awesome short films in this film festival; check it out!

reply

Hey cvkline thanks for the LUNAFEST mention. I went to the link you posted to see if it was going to be anywhere in my area and shure enough it was, so I immediately went and bought a ticket. The LUNAFEST event was last night Jan 22. in Corvallis, OR and how wonderful this short and the others were. Thanks again for posting that link for LUNAFEST, without your post I would have never known about it and missed it.

reply

You're very welcome! It's kind of amazing that some good came out of a flame-ridden IMDB message board!

Thanks for supporting the LUNAFEST people and the movies they present. They're a good group with a good cause.

Yes they are! I didn't realize that it was a breast cancer cause, I just thought they showed a few shorts directed by women(it did mention it on the web-site, It just didn't sink in my brain at the time). Then I went and realized what it was all about, that it was more then just short films. They asked people to stand if they had breast cancer(a bunch of people stood I felt out of place), then they asked people to stand if you have a family member who has/had breast cancer and I remembered my mother's aunt did so I stood. It was defiantly worth going and I was saddend by listening to people's sruggles and heartaces caused by breast cancer. I'm glad I was of some support, even though I didn't do as much as attend a cause. Thanks again for the mention.
