Am I the only one to post here? This short animated film is simply one of the best I've ever seen. A classic segment and a superb film noir by definition.
shareit does seem to be the classy looking of the animatrix, and looks very clever in black and white, with the red chessboard on the floor of the guys rooms looks cool. the story is also very clever.

Radiohead - The Bends
I have to say it's the best of the Animatrix. For the most part I really disliked the Animatrix as I felt it was inadequate and only stood as a cash-in rather than being a good enough series by itself. I felt very differently about this episode though. Well written, compelling and very well designed - this was a perfect episode in an imperfect series.
It also reminds me a lot of a favourite anime series of mine, named The Big O, which may be another reason I enjoyed it so much.
