I didn't like this. I think It is an overrated 'pelicula' as "Nueve Reinas". There's nothing really original in this movie. It seems to be like a '70's B-Movie with stereotypes: a young man looking for himself, a lost father, a sexy blond girl married with an old man,a friend looking for beautiful girls and the Italians, and The Koreans and the father coming back from Israel. This movie wants to be ironic and smart. And It becomes boring.

I must say I was disappointed as well, found the hand held camera work self-conscious and grating. Neither the characters nor the situations were interesting enough to sustain a 90+ minute film. The one bright spot in it is Daniel Hendler, hopefully a big star in the making.

curious, I thought that the hand held effect was the best way to render the type of crazy feeling one gets in those Buenos Aires settings. It brought back the feeling of being there for me.
It seems to me also that the idea played with in this movie is actually the immigrant experience. Something that the protagonist is (or thinks he is) about to experience. It has more to do with the increasing exodus from the post 2001 Argentina than with the particular story of the family itself.
All in all, I found it quite interesting.
