It's terrible! It's more cartoony than animation and it's just awful! And I think they've done something to the theme tune!
shareI totally agree that the new Pingu completely lacks the charm of the old. They've made it smoother, slicker, blander and more like all the other animation out there, and the new theme tune is tinny. The voices aren't as good, and the humour has become more vulgar. Why don't people accept that some old things are fine as they are?
shareYeah, the new Pingu episodes do lack the charm of the older Pingu episodes. And I don't like the new theme tune, the theme tune(which my sisters and I still sing and it really irritates my mum) was fine as it was. Plus the older episodes were funnier and much more charming. However, I still like the characters, there are still parts I find amusing and I actually don't mind the animation. Maybe I am biased, but I think Pingu is a classic, it was one of my favourites when I was tiny and I still like it very much.

As a die-hard fan of classic pingu, I absolutely hated the new pingu when I first saw it and still do. I can't really explain what it is, but from watching ONE second of footage (e.g, a character hears something and turns his eyeballs or whatever) it's obvious the show is a completely different beast, the spirit that was behind the orignal has been replaced with something tedious and much less unique.
The theme tune isn't the worst thing about it, but unlike the previous two (the 2nd being my favourite) you can't hum it. You tried humming that sh't you would get your head kicked in and people would think you had a screw loose.
Watching the new pingu is an asbolute pain, it's so unpleasant and hollow, the personalities aren't felt, they are all jsut lumps of clay with annoying voices were as the originals were lumps of clay with annoying voices who felt like real people. The bum on pingus town is the bum on your street, pingus rough friends are your rough friends, pingu's mom is, maybe not your mom but she's a real mom, she could be your friends mom, you know ?
While I hate the new version for these reasons, atleast they didn't CGI it over like they did with fireman sam, noddy, bannanas in pajamas and plenty more.
