What do you think

I just got finished watching this show's premier on Fox and was wondering what people thought about it. I thought it was pretty good-especially considering the other comedies that have come out this year.

I just finished watching it also. I didn't think it was bad, but I wasn't too impressed. I really think it's going to pick up and get much better. In my opinion both of the writers suck, but I have faith that Norm has enough creative control to shape it well.

I just saw the first episode and I must say it was better than I though it would be! Norm seems to be the same kind of guy he was in "The norm show" and I think it's better that way.. He's funnier when he's himself... The butler is hilarious! I think that show has a lot of potential.. Let's just see if FOX is going to keep it running or start their new reality show, "The Big brother of Joe millionaire from paradise hotel...

I was not impressed. I'll keep watching it, only for Eric Lively though.

It's not as funny as "The Norm Show", which was hilarious, but I am willing to give this show a chance. Like another poster commented, I got quite a few chuckles out of it, however, I never found myself laughing out loudly. Whereas, I swear to God, "The Norm Show" had me choking with laughter virtually every show. (Why they cancelled that show is beyond me!).

I'm not holding out a lot of hope for "Stan Hooper" being nearly as funny as "The Norm Show" though, because in that show, Norm was more of a "washed up" person in life, and also an ex-hockey player, and it just seemed that that gave him more individual freedom to let it all hang out, like he had few inhibitions and nothing really mattered (even though he was supposed to be in rehabilitation and all). Whereas in this show, Norm's character Stan Hooper seems like he's much more of a conservative guy with a meaningful job and a nice wife (Penelope Ann Miller). So, regrettably, I don't expect nearly the knee-slapping hilarity in this show as in the old "The Norm Show" (and BTW, where's wiener dog????!!!!).

A lot of it was pretty funny. The laugh track is annoying though, I hope they get a real audience or drop it altogether. I don't much like the woman who plays Norm's wife but the butler is a riot.

I must admit, Ive been a big Norm fan for years. Hes one of my top fav comedians. And I admit I was a little worried before ths how started because I read the reviews of how he played a different character than he usually plays---a nice guy. So I was worried but once I washed it, I did kinda like it. I didnt laugh out loud, but I think its a cool creative show, that has a lot of potential. it has a variety of characters that can string a bunch of good plotlines. The only really probably I think is the gay guys, but not them personally. I just mean its getting annoying how every show now has to have gay characters in it. I have not trying to sound gay-bashing, but I mean TV is acting like everyone in the world know 2-3 gay people which isnt true. I would just like to see a new show where there isnt a show trying to be hip by throwing ina gay character. Anyways, it was a good show and I contue to keep on watching.

Can't help but agree with you totally.

Yes I admit that even tho they are gay, they havent had anything built around that. So I do give that credit. But also I bet there will be some storylines to come from it tho, considering only 2 shows have aired---and if they handle it well, i wont mind
