Wow this is bad!

Why hasn't anyone posted anything about this show yet? Because everyone knew it would be horrible? All it is is a bunch of gay stereotypes and bad jokes. Great job, ABC!

I thought it was pretty good. It actually made me laugh. The only person I recognized though was the guy who was on Two of A Kind. Oh, and the sister of the guy marrying the daughter looks kind of familiar. She kind of reminds me of that one that was Will and Grace's friend on Will & Grace, but I don't think it's her. They do look somewhat alike though.

Anyway, it did well in the ratings department. If it can keep it up, I doubt it will get canceled.

I give the season premiere a "B."

I laughed last night, too.

I just don't get why people think it's so bad. There are some good characters and the cast is very decent.

Was funny when his parents walked in on Liz naked.

I actually like this show myself. Yes it is not the funniest show, but it has potential. I personally think the show has one of the best casts of the new shows. Also according to CNN it has been picked up for another 4 episodes. The ratings have been pretty good, although they dipped this week but everything went down cause of the baseball game on Fox.

I don't know who (of you guys who have posted) are gay or straight. I am gay, and I happen to like this show. But I get tired of people who throw around the word "stereotype." A stereotype is a representation of that which is common of a group as a whole. And is this not how a great many gay couples live? In nice houses, immaculately decorated, wearing designer clothes and pristine appearance? Truth is, we (those of us who are gay) are gonna bitch one way or another about a show that tries to depict any central character who is gay. If the character is "stereotypical," we bitch because he is stereotypical. If he is depicted any other way, we bitch because "that's not what we are really like!!! We don't want people to see us that way!!!" Come on people. Pick a battle. Or better yet, just shut up and enjoy the show, or don't watch.

Totally agree with everything you said.

I think this show has promise. The first few episodes were embarassing and cringe-worthy, but that is true of most new comedies trying to find their way. I think it's going in the right direction, and certainly the Halloween episode with Victor Garber was the funniest one yet. I think once the actors and writers find their niche, things will flow more smoothly.

I am not gay and I believe that anything that encourages people to try and understand one another is a good thing. The road to tolerance isn't always pretty. This show is probably a good step in the right direction.

My main problem with the show is not simply that the gay guys are stereotypes, but absolutely everyone on the show is a stereotype, which makes for prettty boring viewing. Everything here is tired and it's been done before.

This show reminds me of an updated slapstick version of Archie Bunker without any of the good parts of either. Maybe they can add a womanizing wacky neighbor who is violently homophobic but only because he's afraid of his latent homosexual tendencies. Oh yeah, they might wanna hire some actors too.
