What bugged me was...

Call me crazy but one thing about the marketing of this show really bothered me. When the network ran promos for this show the announcer would say the name of the show and emphasize the WRONG word.

Instead of saying "I'm with HER" (implying, Hey, look at me, I'm with the gorgeous model) or saying "I'M with her" (implying, Hey, look at me, I'm some dorky slob but I still landed a gorgeous model) the announcer would say "I'm WITH her". C'mon?!? Emphasizing "with"???? What does that say? That implies, well, nothing...

How can the ABC execs pay lord knows how much $ to hire an announcer, tape the promo spots, arrange time for the spots to be aired, etc. and then play the one take of the announcer where he emphasizes a word that makes no sense? No wonder the show died a quiet and unmourned death.
