looks like everyone finds out at the final episode/movie.

Yes, but it seemed kind of flat that we don't get to see her reaction to the reveal.

I'm guessing TPTB left her out of the finale because they wanted to sew up loose ends neatly and since Danny and Sam end up having Valerie there would be too messy .

On the show "Phantom Planet" - the show's finale (sadly!!). :(

Valerie may have been cheering for Danny saving the planet, but that doesn't necessarily change her overall opinion of him.
