So I just started watching this again, and there is one episode where Sam and Tucker have to give Danny back his powers, why don't they go inside and get powers too? Why does it have to be just Danny? Do they ever address that in the series?
shareGood question. Never thought of that. I'm guessing in that episode Sam was preoccupied with getting Danny his powers so he could fight Desire, the villain of the episode. There was an episode where Tucker got powers and went mad with them. Other than that, I'm really not sure.

Before the website went down, one of the admins in Butch Hartman's forums stated that not everyone will be able to gain ghost powers through the portal or survive the process. Meaning it's likely the portal would have killed them then give them powers.
shareI think it would have been really cool if Sam had gotten ghost powers at the end of the series. Tucker is fine as a normal guy but I think Sam kinda deserved it. Especially since.... (spoiler alert) Sam ends up with Danny in the end. ^_^
The creator also has said that he wanted Danny to be the only one with powers.
Also, I think that would be a terrible creative choice. Sam is already one of the most hated characters in the series. That probably would just lose them a lot of viewers anyway. People already hate that they ruined or just ended a lot of interesting plots to make room for their romantic plot tumor.
