Was there anything after Phantom Planet?

Did the two episodes listed on IMDb for "season 4" (Phantom Fever and The Big Movie) actually air?

Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

There's only 3 seasons and those two episodes don't exist. BTW, Phantom Fever sounds like a damn porno.

LOL! It prolly is, somewhere.

So what's the backstory on the phantom (groan) listings on IMDb? I mean this site is usually such a paragon of absolutely correct up-to-the-minute industry information.

IMDb is like wikipedia. Anyone can edit it.

imdb has gotten better about accuracy it's more like 70 percent accurate now vs wiki which is like 30 percent accurate. Phantom planet wrapped it up nicely. They really don't need more.

It was the most pathetic way to end a show, just when things were starting to build up and interesting characters being introduced, they pull a rip off of armaggedon and call it the end. Show deserved more than lame finale.

The producers did want to do more; Nickelodeon didn't. I believe Nick wanted to cancel the series after season 2, but were somehow convinced to greenlight the third, which is why there was time to do any kind of final episode at all. I'm sure if Nick had gotten their way, the show would have ended at the end of S2 with zero closure whatsoever.

reply

Why did they want to cancel it after 2 seasons? It was a popular show, doesn't make sense. Yet they let Spongebob remain on the air for another ten years, each season getting worse than the last (Last good episode I watched was before the movie came out).

Still, the producers could've at least built up to the finale rather than waste episodes on the box ghost or summer camp.

prolly why phantom planet was so long.
double episode. they tried to tie up many ends and give us some kind of goodbye,
and a sort of what if to think about.

That's the problem. It wasn't popular, and Nick hated the show. It had a following but it never hit great numbers.

They were mad at the creator when his DP movie (the one about Danny becoming evil in the future), went over budget. They had already renewed the show for a third season so they let them finish it out. They put the show on all over the place, released new episodes with little or no fanfare, and tried to ignore the show as much as possible.
