This word just didn't seem to make sense. In the scene when the pilot, Carrie and the ex-military guy are going to the site of the plane the ex-military guy gets a nose bleed. Carrie says 'hasn't acclimated yet'. Acclimatized would have sounded more natural. Its a small thing, but it bugged me at the time.

If you're bugged enough to know the semantic differences, you should know to check the geography. South Pole Station is almost two miles above sea level, well into the range where the ambient pressure delta may require acclimation.
