When Carrie checks her flight logs she enters the date Feb 18 which would have only been a few days prior. The problem with this is that it is supposed to be approaching winter time. February is a summer month in the southern hemisphere. Granted it is always super cold in Antarctica, but not usually -65 degrees C during that time of year.
