Has anybody else confused Tom Skerritt for Kris Kristofferson?

I was totally convinced that it was Kris Kristofferson playing Dr.John Fury in the movie until I looked up credits here on imdb. Anybody else got confused? I mean I had no slightest idea that it was Tom Skerritt. I thought it was Kris again at his best ol' meanie role, but boy, have I been mistaken? It's just that there were no credits in the beginning of the movie, plus I haven't seen Tom Skerritt in major movies for a while, man, has he aged!

reply

Yeah, same here!

reply

Same here

reply

Thought the exact same thing from the trailer.

reply

Haha, yeah! When I saw his face flash by in the trailer, I thought, "Okay, that's either Tom Skerritt or Kris Kristofferson."

reply

Skerritt was in so many classics, I could never mistake him.

They have VERY different voices too.

reply

yes, i did. how weird is that?

reply

pretty much here too although Kris actually looks a bit older

reply

Kris actually looks a bit older

true

reply

Me too! lol

You should watch the film "For Sale By Owner" both Kris and Tom are in this film together....talk about confusing!!!

reply

Personally, I think they only just look alike. One guy has a more tough guy or wise mannerism, while the other seems more stuck up and has something up his ass when he performs (Skerritt). Notice how Skerritt continuously looked at Beckingsale's character (pretty much the only person he interacted in the film) with his nose throughout the film, during their conversations. It may have been Skerritt's intent to look more ponderous, however.

For sale by owner had me confused by the two of them for sure.

reply

Yeah i thought the same; they totally look alike.

reply

I thought it was kenny rogers!?!?!?

reply

Yeah they looked alike, except that Kris got that significant pair of eyes.

reply

No.
