QUESTION
Anybody know what kind of dog that was in the movie? Or was it a wolf? Wolf-dog? EH? Whatever it was, it was pretty rad.

shareIt was definitely a wolf - credits list a "wolf handler".
Sure looked like a wolf to me, too.
Looked like a hybrid-wolf to me, or a husky with black fur :p
shareIt was a wolf...
And according to one of the comments on the main page...it represents Asbrey's lost soul or something like that...
I personally had no idea why they were showing it...but as with most things in this movie...it was a bad idea that was nicely shot.

Sorry, I can't buy the thing about the wizard...purely because there was no magic anywhere else in the film. Except for the door disappearing...which was completely out of left field. If this was a magical realm then there would have been some hint of it somewhere else.
This was much more of a psychological tale than a magical one...
And if he was supposed to be a wizard well then that was just one other thing about this movie that was glossed over in favor of that godawful 45 minute wordless trek through the desert.
