Kenny's decision ruined the film -Spoiler Alert!

The part where he has the killer where he wants him and made the decision to exact his revenge, knocks out killer with whiskey bottle ( well as far as he knew) then takes a stroll down the cellar ... What? Anyone in that situation who made up his mind would have laid an unholy rage- beating with fists, feet, kitchen utensils, chair, anything within reach, not look for weapons/ tools in the basement. C'mon!

So true. It should have ended right about before Kenny strolled off to that basement. Otherwise, it was a pretty good "modern noir."

I would think Kenny would kill the SOB without hesitation--not knock him out with a bottle.

I was thinking he was gonna torture him. But going down to the basement felt pretty stupid.
