I love this film I've seen it about 30 times. I have it on my DVR and will probably never delete it!
Evan Rachel Wood looks amazing in this film. I've become a huge fan .... I cannot wait to see the Westworld series coming out in 2016.
I've also seen Mildred Pierce several times. She's an amazing actor for her age.
Everyone else in the film did an amazing job as well. Kevin Costner played such a loveable drunk.
I'm sure I will be watching this again

shareI have a hard time explaining my love of this film to people. Sometimes even I don't understand it. And it's not like it just started that way, I was about halfway through when I finally realized it was becoming a shortlist favorite.
shareFor me I think it' portrays loss in a very different way than most films that deal with loss of a partner. She's angry and it's okay to be angry ... It's okay to lose it and work it out in your own way. When Costner starts coming around he eventually succeeds in bringing her out of her anger. You can see that he's been completely in love with her for a long time and he's this total mess, lovable drunk that steals her heart. He needs her as much as she needs him. Popeye sees the whole thing coming way before it happens. The script is ground brresking in that it deals with this situation in a different way than any other film with this subjects matter. I really cannot think of another film that's like this.
