Wait...'pregnant AGAIN'? Where was the first one?

We find out at one point Hadley is "pregnant and getting married"...the mom blurts it out as a wild guess at the table and then Hadley gets mad accusing the sisters of telling the mom. And then near the end, they make some sort of announcement that they're expecting "again". But I never even saw the first baby!

Not to mention, I don't remember seeing a "x months later" or any indication of time/seasonal change. Maybe they showed a few leaves falling or something, and I remember some snow at one point, but I didn't find the seasons obvious enough to have guessed or assumed it had been long enough for her to have the first baby and then get pregnant again. Did I miss something?

In the beginning of the movie, you can see a funeral and afterwards the screen gets black and it says "Three years earlier". After that, you never really know in which year you are but I think it doesn't really matter for the story. But on the DVD, there are two deleted scenes, one scene is about Terry visiting Hadley and her first twins in the hospital and another scene is at the end after the funeral when Hadly has three children.

It was kind of shoddy writing to have that line in there, but not include anything about the result of her first pregnancy.

When they were having the BBQ it was clear a lot of time had passed since Denny and Terry had broken up after the whole marriage discussion. During this BBQ Hadley was talking about something looking after the baby/toddler (I don't know the age). After she said that they sat down to eat and they made the announcement they were expecting a baby again.

I didn't think it was confusing at all. They showed the seasons changing several times.

I thought the same thing , but then I was glad they didn't add a lot of extra story lines to the movie. They could have brought in the grand-babies, dealt with Popeye getting high, Emily's illness or spent more time on Andy and Shep, but I'm glad they chose to just focus on the 6 main character's and the gradual changes that happened between all of them.
