Well it's Asian Cinema, what do you expect? They churn out more crap in a single day than Europe and the west put together lol

And i suppose thats why nearly every film coming out of hollywood these days is either a remake of an asian movie or a sequel?
Some of the best films i've seen in recent years are asian ,you are full of sh*t!!!

I gave it a second chance after he had his horse kick the rolling fireball, I stopped watching after the princess sat in the cart for 20 minutes waiting for her untimely death while the general and the other guy debated and fought, when she couldve easily just stepped out of the wagon onto the ground, given there are a ton of movies that forego the easy solution just to make the film, but I've never seen it just blatantly put out there without trying for 20 minutes...

SURPRISE! BUTTSECKS!

^ This.
Oh yes, I almost stopped watching after the horse kick too, but stuck it out for the entire carriage on the cliff why doesn't she just get out of it fight scene. One of the worst sequences I have ever seen in a film simply because she could have just climbed out the whole time, making everything that happened pointless.

I used to be a Jackie Chan fan, but he's been making some awful stuff. This is one of those.

reply

I agree.

The thing I disliked most of all about this film was the dubbing. Why oh why can't we have the film subtitled instead?

Best family adventure films I've seen in a long time.

The fighting scenes were great, the locations were amazing, both the acting and story were good. I don't see what these other posts are talking about? My friends and I love Jackie Chan, and this movie is full of Jackie action and comedy. Check out the Rat Glue Scene, in one word...."Amazing!"

I liked it too. Not my favourite of Jackie's but still a fun film. But we can't all like the same things all of the time.

"Hey! Ladies! That was fun!"

reply

actually 2 of the worst films i've ever seen

AGREED!

First 5 minutes:

Engaged girl sold by father against her will has chance to be rescued by fiancé and refuses.

While fiancé fights the kidnapper (Jackie Chan), in the most ridiculous way imaginable, she never once tries to crawl out of the carriage to safety.

Kidnapper (Jackie Chan) kills fiancé.

Fiancé asks kidnapper to protect girl.

Carriage falls over cliff into water, as do kidnapper and girl, and girl and kidnapper do not die. Which makes me wonder what the point is of that entire fight scene to save the girl.

Girls starts to fall for her kidnapper, because, well - he saved her. Right?

OMG! It hurts just to think about it!
