Could the US get away with the assassination plot?

So at the end of the movie, the CIA successfully kills Nasir with a predator drone, seemingly succeeding in their plan of keeping the status quo. But while their original plan to assassinate the prince and make it look like an accident made sense, wouldn't killing him with a predator drone make it super obvious that it was an assassination by the U.S. government? How would they get away with that? How would they cover it up?
