Politics + Prom (Sunni-Shia?)

It's interesting we're making movies about the IRA and the intrigue surrounding OPEC and Israel-Palestine now.

I'm interested to see how our new finance-minded president (Donald Trump) will lead our nation into this new era of market-based politics (e.g., European Union, NATO, etc.).

Are Americans really interested in the human emotions in the Middle East? Do American youngsters feel informed about the Sunni-Shia divisions within the nation of Islam? Do they know which group wears white and which group wears black?

There are many important considerations, and Syriana tackles them with a handsome amount of appropriate cultural and political drama.

There's money, there're princes, there's American politicians (and businessmen) and spies and officers all the way to the zoo.

If we care about Sunni-Shia differentiations, we'll be in a better diplomatic position to negotiate about Israel-Palestine as Americans. Otherwise, we'll just appear as biased and nosy Westerners threatening the sovereignty of Muslims.

I give this film 4/5 stars!

Also (see link below) there's a plethora of stuff out there in the media right now (in regards to human issues such as Sunni-vs-Shia anger) creating complicated (and very emotional) and even understandably-biased arguments.

====

SUNNI: We deserve control over OPEC.
SHIA: The group with better diplomatic intelligence should run OPEC.
SUNNI: Incorrect! The group with the more focused devotion to Islam should!
SHIA: Are you in a position to claim your faith to Islam is stronger?
SUNNI: Sometimes humility means courage.
SHIA: Be wary of mistaking courage for personal passions.
SUNNI: Americans want to negotiate with serious Muslims.
SHIA: Syria and Iran need to compete for media attention.
SUNNI: Perhaps Hollywood (USA) will make movies about us!
SHIA: Perhaps more Americans will care about drumming trade!
